Hello hon stace okay yes can I talk to you about it and when I wake up no haven't seen her already sorry no of course has someone come to take some blood tests from you yes they have yeah it's fine I can see them in the future yeah I'm glad they get little pepi lovely yeah you're great take those away I'm glad the the other girl came and she they're taking a tracing of your heart yes they've done that yeah so I'll have a look at them both okay alright so you're well looked at brilliant good I'm glad happy to go over things again with you just so I get a clear timeline of this okay yep so you were in bed with your wife yeah and then you woke up feeling like your hands were too weak to be caught up right yeah it was really really we sort of we we got got to bed must have been about sort of a half 10 life when I was storing large you know I couldn't sit up leave myself up off the mattress eventually I managed to do that I sat on the edge of the bed I couldn't do anything else was there 1 side that was weak or was it both no just seemed to be trying to lift myself up either I just I couldn't couldn't do it couldn't get myself up then when I did manage to get up pop my feet on the floor what's the matter and I was I was talking total gibberish you were talking but what was coming out oh it's just not confused yeah it wasn't even sentence it was the odd world was sort of normal I laid down again I just could not concentrate to get to sleep or anything else 9 0 9 she was doing 1 1 1 and the other things nothing it's using the wrong word that is not slurring your final word no no no it wasn't slurring as a stroke or something was just all the words were there but they were coming out in any particular order and I couldn't actually find the ones I wanted to use really quite so very strange yeah a bit like sort of playing scrabble I don't know the word you want but you just can't get it all together on your pad you know yeah I understand that it's really quite weird and that sort of eased off a little bit I'm actually getting back into bed because no 1 quite time with the ambulance we were touring up then we were just starting to drop off a little bit put around 2 or something and they arrived went through everything and I was relatively coherent I suppose as far as they're concerned but they did say I was not quite making a lot of sense and that was it but coming into the hospital a lot more I understand everything was changed completely without any problems whatsoever apart from the episode where you couldn't get yourself up off the sofa or bed that you were on you haven't had any other weakness only part of your body no there was this episode with this stuff with the right shin possibly not a lot of people she said stand up said she shook your eyes and did all right I think she went and touched past me bogged so know you feel that and then she said what about that I said no I can't feel anything and that was my right shin and you know she touched it but there was just no sensation whatsoever now that's returned from that yeah it's I sort of retired in january with a 6 month backlog of work mhmm it's not exactly not exactly retirement you know retirement is it really what what did you do for that I was what we call a horologist a watch and front maker loads of work and I managed to sort of calm it and whittle it down a little bit you know that was alright so I started doing just sort of 10 till 1 every day and then the rest of the time I go to the guards or do whatever I want to do said you know but of course the background didn't disappear stayed where it was you know and I do enjoy what I do so after the call we were exposed to him and then of course my wife fell and broke her hip in june so she was brought in she was in for something like 12 days and that was just you know backwards and forwards backwards and forwards know to do that every day then getting back and trying to run and do a bit of work and look after her and do everything else that needed to be done in the household you know whether it be cooking washing but even before she broke her head wasn't very good on her legs so she would spend a lot of time just sitting there watching the telly okay well got you'd be running around yeah of breakfast or rice moi sort of thing it's just the way life goes and all that stuff is awful so you're pretty active obviously you've got your fine motor skills with your neurology but then you're also running around the house doing yeah errands and things like that yeah doing all that and then cutting the grass or doing weeding or what else the garden the garden needs or something yeah do you drink or smoke mhmm drink no well I think we're now on friday now aren't we so as far as we went met up with some friends had a couple of pints in the pub last night got home had finished up 1 bottle with a gallon of chips for take normally I don't know if I have a bottle of wine I can make it last 3 days I'm not a big drinker mean the job is I don't have a prostate you don't have to drink too much I end up pissing myself anyway so it's not a lot of fun is it really you know so you've got everything ordered and did you have it coring out the prostate they took the whole lot out of yeah right whatever they call it robotic assistance no no before the I think when I had it done in a way robot I think we got 1 of I was up in devon and exeter okay dartwood lovely dartwood yeah quite an experience mean I've got the 56 you know actually being in hospital and visiting people and being self employed I couldn't do anything for 8 weeks don't worry it'll get paid but I managed to get through that good alright and any other health problems apart from prostate I assume the sense no no I think it's apart from apart from that I've had a bit of chemo taking sort that out when we get back to work and I'm on hormone therapy now bicalutamide what it is okay it's a tablet you take no was it was an injection mhmm I cut out the ointment mhmm and that's from I think october 2018 and the last 1 was january 2019 so that was the chemotherapy I had and then after that I then had the chemo sorry the hormone which I'm going to be on for the rest of my life apparently got the hot sweats you know and all these sorts things the manic cause yeah but I'm still here to annoy people apart from anything else and just carrying too much weight not real you know what that's nothing is it really we'd be proud of that we're able to fly we used to have dogs that they'd take for a walk know and I didn't have that then know if you're doing several miles a day all dogs it's just plenty of exercise course lost the last 1 20 16 job sitting down most of the day you know you're not really sort of moving a lot are you and I do like my food so the 2 combined don't worth anyway really can I have a quick look at your hands and listen to your chest you put a like on your watch see just fine ever always just got a lovely watch oh no well it's it's a safe I went on I worked for a safe for 10 years did you and when you're there they actually once you've done your 6 month probation they give you a watch oh great you know and this is what I got and that's the 1 I was like stuck with it yeah they didn't want it back after that so you know it's a nice place this is your head I'm checking here so generally that's alright this is your foot good question what do we do great yeah good question good that's good then we'll to bottom we'll let you feel your chest and this sounds good can I touch your tummy if you want to can you help yourself sorry can I back nope nope that's fine okay and in terms of the power in your arms any worries about that at all in terms of the strength maybe do you feel weak at all or in your legs no I don't think so I just I mean I've just nipped to the loo mhmm you felt okay on the feet yeah I felt a little bit wobbly a little bit wobbly but not not mean I've been lying down most of the the evening do you feel like the room is spinning around no no no nothing like that no I just sort as if I just but I'm I'm asleep as well mhmm which doesn't but I think as far as anything else concerned that's not real problem or anything like that know yeah so brilliant alright well I already examined all the nerves and things like that so this is most likely pa but I'll go look at your investigations and some of the results should be coming back right and I can let you in the morning when I come up thank you brilliant well sorry to wake you up I was always on easy that was always smooth so on examination abdomen is often nontender heart sounds normal good regular peripheral pulses chest clear to auscultation no peripheral edema neurological examination 5 out of 5 power in all
